Fan coil units are often found in hospitals, hotels, schools, universities and offices. These air-handling units provide circulated heating or chilled air in each room. In most cases they consume a fair amount of energy, don’t provide effective discharge of air in the room, and you best know them as being extremely noisy. An adaptive photonic control unit can give fan coils the ability to match blower speed and air flow to the actual real time unit temperature output by modulating to deliver just enough air to meet the temperature set point requirement! This provides improved comfort by delivering a more constant flow of cold or warm air and also results in less noise and energy savings.
